Each COVID-19 case requires an individual diagnostic and treatment plan due to the diversity of the clinical manifestations of the disease and the variable severity of the infection course.
Most hospitalized patients will need the administration of oxygen therapy, therefore we have upgraded the oxygen supply system into all our COVID-19 departments. At the moment we can offer a whole range of respiratory support options, such as low-flow and high-flow oxygen therapy, mechanical lung ventilation, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO)). The ECMO is a vital life-saving option in a number of cases when a patient does not respond to the mechanical lung ventilation.
